Symmetrical all over pattern is used for balance. This design has no focal photo. The repeated line direction and quality provides rhythm.
Complimentary color scheme: blue and orange. Notice each one of the photos highlight one of three colors -blue, orange or white.

Analogous color scheme: Blue and green with brown as neutral
Rhythm created by repeating colors and shapes-the rounded squares-to create a visual triangle.
Focal point photo is matted different from the other pictures.
The buttons provide texture. Balance is asymmetrical and uses the shapes to provide weight.

Diad color scheme: blue-violet and green
Simple flower decoration is shown which was made from paper and a bit of ribbon.

Bookending pattern paper. Pattern paper is added to the top and bottom of a group of pictures. This technique can also be done horizontally.
Color scheme is diad: Yellow-orange and green. The focal photo is larger than the other photos.
